Lush : Error 404 Bath Bomb [ REVIEW ]

1

One of my goals for 2016 is to test every Lush bath bomb and as many bubble bars as I can. As the great Leonardo da Vinci once said, ‘Every now and then go away and have a little relaxation. To remain constantly at work will diminish your judgement.” What is more relaxing close to home than a luxurious bath?  This year I will review products from my fav shop that makes fresh and handmade beauty goods, Lush! So draw up a bath, get a good book and a glass of wine, and relax!

Lush’s specialty bath bomb, ‘Error 404’ was so awesome I wish they would keep it around permanently. It smells gorgeously of vanilla absolute and gardenia extract. It starts out dissolving slowly, the water turning the most beautiful turquoise in plumes. As the bath bomb fizzes further it starts rocking, letting out waves of gorgeous blue which eventually turn the water a deep sparkling blue. Best of all? All profits support the Digital Fund, supporting AccessNow and grassroots digital activism. Because keeping the internet on can save lives. I signed the petition at AccessNow.org/KeepItOn to fight internet shutdowns and you can too! #keepiton

Lush : Golden Egg Bath Bomb Melt [ REVIEW ]

One of my goals for 2016 is to test every Lush bath bomb and as many bubble bars as I can. As the great Leonardo da Vinci once said, ‘Every now and then go away and have a little relaxation. To remain constantly at work will diminish your judgement.” What is more relaxing close to home than a luxurious bath?  This year I will review products from my fav shop that makes fresh and handmade beauty goods, Lush! So draw up a bath, get a good book and a glass of wine, and let’s relax!

Lush’s Golden Egg bath bomb melt is pretty amazing. I tried it last year and thought I would give it a go again because well, glitter. It smells of ‘Honey I Shrunk the Kids’ and is SO incredibly moisturizing. As a ‘melt’ that Lush makes it is so moisturizing it is almost like bathing in lotion. The fair trade cocoa butter and olive oil are so moisturizing you can see where the oils have separated from the water on the surface. Also, the glitter is clearly pretty excessive. You get glitter fingers just touching it. When the bomb is dropped into the bath all of the glitter just clouds out and it sticks to the skin afterward. This is a classic for a reason!

Lush : Humpty Dumpty Bath Bomb [ REVIEW ]

Lush’s new Humpty Dumpty bath bomb is actually up to three bath bombs in one! You crack it open- clever Lush, very clever- and in the center is a cute little fried egg. Each half of Humpty and the egg can be used separately – unless your egg is stuck to one of the halves like mine was! It was difficult to open even with a table knife, so you may want to shop for one that rattles a bit when gently shaken.

The smell of this bath bomb is absolutely gorgeous. The bergamot and Brazilian orange oils make it smell fabulous in and out of the water. The bomb is only slightly moisturizing, but that is made up for by the pure enjoyment of the scent and the beautiful turquoise waters. I hope this bath bomb comes back out next year, I will certainly purchase it again if it does!

Lush : Green Bubbleroon Bubble Bar [ REVIEW ]

Lush’s Green Bubbleroon Bar smells like heaven on earth, uplifting and naturally smile-inducing sweet orange and lime oils. I couldn’t leave it behind at the store after smelling it. Lush packed their skin softening ‘jam’ in the center of the bubbleroon which leaves you feeling soft and moisturized. The entire experience is like bathing in a mossy green lake, the water turns such a gorgeous emerald green color. This bar doesn’t create as many bubbles as other Lush bubble bars, but it is enough! If you like big puffy clouds of bubbles then there are lots of products that would compliment it nicely. Lush’s Bunch of Carrots comes to mind. I would purchase this bubble bar again!

Lush’s The Experimenter Bath Bomb is pretty incredible. The main thing is the SMELL. Goodness, it was like being steeped in a pot of delicious fair trade vanilla and tonka absolutes. It just smelled yummy. Then of course this bath bomb packs a punch as far as the rainbow colors that swirl and pop and billow out into a murky cloud of deep purple. It is just a really great bomb for a fantastic bath experience. I will purchase this bath bomb again!

Lush : Guardian of the Forest Bath Bomb [ REVIEW ]

Lush’s Guardian of the Forest bath bomb is a magical woodland treat. Like finding a refreshing pool in the depths of a forest. The smell alone is so earthy and delicious. Cypress, oakmoss and rosewood oil create an amazing trio. The water turns a lovely neon green in the daylight bulbs but in your everyday bathroom lighting appears to be a lovely mossy green. The scent lingers and the bath feels moisturizing although there are no specific properties to make it so. This one is a keeper!

Lush : Valentine’s Day [ REVIEW ]

One of my goals for 2016 is to test every Lush bath bomb and as many bubble bars as I can. As the great Leonardo da Vinci once said, ‘Every now and then go away and have a little relaxation. To remain constantly at work will diminish your judgement.” What is more relaxing close to home than a luxurious bath?  This year I will review products from my fav shop that makes fresh and handmade beauty goods, Lush! So draw up a bath, get a good book and a glass of wine, and let’s relax!

I tried Lush’s Valentine’s Day gift box, ‘In your Dreams’ and absolutely loved each of the products in it. They are the Unicorn Horn bubble bar, the Prince Charming Shower Cream, and the Kiss Lip Gloss. Let’s start with the packaging though- what a cute little gift box! They must have a machine to wrap the paper because it’s perfectly done. Among all the packing peanuts are those three glorious pink visions. The sweet smell is intoxicating.

The Unicorn Horn bubble bar creates a lovely light pink bath with loads of frothy bubbles. Lavender, ylang ylang and neroli are the lovely sweet smelling back drop to a relaxing bath. This bubble bar has no moisturizing properties, but is pretty near perfection anyway. The Prince Charming Shower Cream is the most unique smelling Lush product I’ve ever used. Like the Shower Gel ‘Beautiful’ (my fav) it creates a different world. It smells of pomegranate and vanilla and feels ultra silky and cleansing. The Kiss Lip Gloss goes on a bit goopy, but then it is just awesome. Your lips feel extremely smooth and the pink shimmer manages to remain natural looking. It is made with shea butter, and coconut oil and sweetened with agave. So hydrating and softening! Love it!!

Happy Valentine’s Day- and Happy Singles Awareness Day!! So treat the one you love- your significant other- or yourself to some sweet smelling Lush loving!

Check out my review of another Valentine’s product, the Sex Bomb Bath Bomb here!
