One of my *unofficial* goals for 2015 is to relax more. As the great Leonardo da Vinci once said, ‘Every now and then go away and have a little relaxation. To remain constantly at work will diminish your judgement.” What is more relaxing close to home than a luxurious bath? This year I will review products from my fav shop that makes fresh and handmade beauty goods, Lush! So draw up a bath, get a good book and a glass of wine, and let’s relax!
The Dragon’s Egg Bath Bomb from Lush is overall pretty good! It smells great- like sherbet with the scents of lemon and bergamont. After placing it in the bath it is supposed to ‘fizzle, crackle, curl, and end with a glitter explosion.’ While it does fizzle and curl, I didn’t witness any ‘crackling’ but more importantly there was no glitter explosion! It is possible my bath bomb skipped the glitter process, but it was a disappointment as I love Lush’s non plastic glitter. It always adds such a nice shimmer to the skin. The floating circles of rice paper were nice, but what would be even cooler is a plastic dinosaur that pops out with the glitter explosion, yes? Just me?
The bath water turns a pleasant yellow color, and the scent lingers. This is a fun one to watch dissolve as well. I would get this bath bomb again, if just to see if another one gives me a glitter explosion!
