Lush : Golden Egg Bath Bomb Melt [ REVIEW ]

One of my goals for 2016 is to test every Lush bath bomb and as many bubble bars as I can. As the great Leonardo da Vinci once said, ‘Every now and then go away and have a little relaxation. To remain constantly at work will diminish your judgement.” What is more relaxing close to home than a luxurious bath?  This year I will review products from my fav shop that makes fresh and handmade beauty goods, Lush! So draw up a bath, get a good book and a glass of wine, and let’s relax!

Lush’s Golden Egg bath bomb melt is pretty amazing. I tried it last year and thought I would give it a go again because well, glitter. It smells of ‘Honey I Shrunk the Kids’ and is SO incredibly moisturizing. As a ‘melt’ that Lush makes it is so moisturizing it is almost like bathing in lotion. The fair trade cocoa butter and olive oil are so moisturizing you can see where the oils have separated from the water on the surface. Also, the glitter is clearly pretty excessive. You get glitter fingers just touching it. When the bomb is dropped into the bath all of the glitter just clouds out and it sticks to the skin afterward. This is a classic for a reason!

Lush : Humpty Dumpty Bath Bomb [ REVIEW ]

edc67091-921d-4572-b92a-a03f8237b1fc

One of my goals for 2016 is to test every Lush bath bomb and as many bubble bars as I can. As the great Leonardo da Vinci once said, ‘Every now and then go away and have a little relaxation. Lush’s new Humpty Dumpty bath bomb is actually up to three bath bombs in one! You crack it open- clever Lush, very clever- and in the center is a cute little fried egg. Each half of Humpty and the egg can be used separately – unless your egg is stuck to one of the halves like mine was! It was difficult to open even with a table knife, so you may want to shop for one that rattles a bit when gently shaken.

The smell of this bath bomb is absolutely gorgeous. The bergamot and Brazilian orange oils make it smell fabulous in and out of the water. The bomb is only slightly moisturizing, but that is made up for by the pure enjoyment of the scent and the beautiful turquoise waters. I hope this bath bomb comes back out next year, I will certainly purchase it again if it does!

Lush : Shoot for the Stars Bath Bomb [ REVIEW ]

Lush’s Shoot for the Stars bath bomb was SO amazing! I will definitely be purchasing this one again!! It smells of Brazilian orange and bergamot oils which is so lovely and the amount of sparkles is r.i.d.i.c.u.l.o.u.s – your skin will be sparkly for hours after. The bath water turns a rich purple color, and it is so softening. All boxes checked. The only bummer is that this bath bomb is only out once a year for Christmas time.

Lush : Stardust Bath Bomb [ REVIEW ]

One of my goals for 2016 is to test every Lush bath bomb and as many bubble bars as I can. As the great Leonardo da Vinci once said, ‘Every now and then go away and have a little relaxation. To remain constantly at work will diminish your judgement.” What is more relaxing close to home than a luxurious bath?  This year I will review products from my fav shop that makes fresh and handmade beauty goods, Lush! So draw up a bath, get a good book and a glass of wine, and let’s relax!

Lush’s Stardust bath bomb was an out of the blue (no pun intended) standout. I was not expecting much from it since it is a white bath bomb, but it not only smelled lovely but it turned the water a beautiful pale opaque blue. It felt like bathing in milk and clouds, with little floating stars. It has Ugandan vanilla from the Mountains of the Moon (a real, gorgeous place, I looked it up) and precious, intoxicating rosewood. This little guy packs a punch!

I think this bath bomb would be a superb candidate to use with Lush’s Milky Bath bubble bar for an extra moisturizing and bubbly soak. Milky Bath smells of cocoa butter, skimmed milk and olive oil and is incredibly softening. You can read my review of it here. I would definitely use the Stardust bath bomb again!

Lush : Golden Slumbers Bath Bomb [ REVIEW ]

One of my goals for 2016 is to test every Lush bath bomb and as many bubble bars as I can. As the great Leonardo da Vinci once said, ‘Every now and then go away and have a little relaxation. Lush’s Golden Slumber was a part of the ‘It’s Christmas Deer’ Christmas tin. It smells gorgeous with waves of of lavender and chamomile which are so relaxing together. It’s the perfect bath bomb to use before bedtime! There is no real color to the bath water, so it would need to be added with another product if you want.

Little bits of lavender go EVERYWHERE in this bath. They are not the worst thing to deal with after as one might imagine, just get a facial tissue or a paper towel and they are fairly easy to collect.

This was a nice bath, but I wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way to get this bath bomb. I would however try it again!

Lush : Peeping Santa Bubble Bar [ REVIEW ]

One of my goals for 2016 is to test every Lush bath bomb and as many bubble bars as I can. As the great Leonardo da Vinci once said, ‘Every now and then go away and have a little relaxation. Lush’s Peeping Santa bubble bar was a great one all around. For starters, it’s freaking adorable. As you hold it under the running water and let it crumble the strawberry color is out of control beautiful. It is the prettiest red pink you ever did see. The smell of strawberries sticks around the entire bath as do the bubbles! I used the entire bar in one go and it seemed like the perfect amount.

The bath water turns a gorgeous cool aid red, which like the strawberry scent lingers the entire bath. Because the bar is made with hand-churned shea butter from the Ojoba women’s cooperative in Ghana and creamy fair trade cocoa butter it softens broken winter skin. As bright as the water was I was pleased to see that it did not stain my tub or my skin and the smell of strawberries lingered on my skin and in the bath for hours after!

Lush : Intergalactic Bath Bomb [ REVIEW ]

One of my *unofficial* goals for 2015 is to relax more.

Lush’s Intergalactic bath bomb is so amazing. This is on my short list now of favorites! The smell is fantastic, the dissolving process is gorgeous as is the beautiful shimmery blue color of the bath, and it moisturizes your skin. It smells of peppermint, vetivert and cedarwood, (a.k.a. AMAZING) and was the most fun bath bomb to see in action.

I would highly recommend this one! It really was like an ‘intergalactic’ trip in the tub as the shimmer in the water looks like thousands of stars in the night sky. All in all a ten out of ten bath bomb.
