July ArtSnacks Unboxing [ 2015 ]

July Artsnacks

One of my goals for 2015 is to sketch more. I’ve always loved art, whether it was admiring other’s work or creating my own. Over the past year I have been taking online classes through Sketchbook Skool. I found out about it before the first class and I’ve taken all three (plus currently their Bootkamp) that they have offered. They have inspired me to capture the everyday. They also inspired me to try new materials which has me on the hunt for the ‘perfect’ sketchbook as well as new products.

I loved June’s Artsnacks box, there were several items I had never seen before and they were so much fun to play with!

Ironlak Pump Action Marker

This marker is incredible. The flow of paint is flawless, but dries quickly. It is water soluble, so you can manipulate the paint further with a wet brush.

Aristo DK2 Mechanical Pencil

Aristo is an Austrian brand specializing in high-quality drafting supplies. I’m very familiar with drafting pencils – and this one is high quality.

Touch Twin Brush Marker

This pen features a flexible brush nib on one end and a medium-wide chisel nib on the other.

Marino Watercolor Pencil by Cretacolor

This watercolor pencil is one in a family of 36 colors. It worked well enough, but I’ve been more impressed with other brands.
