One of my goals for 2016 is to test every Lush bath bomb and as many bubble bars as I can. As the great Leonardo da Vinci once said, ‘Every now and then go away and have a little relaxation. To remain constantly at work will diminish your judgement.” What is more relaxing close to home than a luxurious bath? This year I will review products from my fav shop that makes fresh and handmade beauty goods, Lush! So draw up a bath, get a good book and a glass of wine, and let’s relax!
Lush’s Peeping Santa bubble bar was a great one all around. For starters, it’s freaking adorable. As you hold it under the running water and let it crumble the strawberry color is out of control beautiful. It is the prettiest red pink you ever did see. The smell of strawberries sticks around the entire bath as do the bubbles! I used the entire bar in one go and it seemed like the perfect amount.
The bath water turns a gorgeous cool aid red, which like the strawberry scent lingers the entire bath. Because the bar is made with hand-churned shea butter from the Ojoba women’s cooperative in Ghana and creamy fair trade cocoa butter it softens broken winter skin. As bright as the water was I was pleased to see that it did not stain my tub or my skin and the smell of strawberries lingered on my skin and in the bath for hours after!
