Lush : Brazilliant Shampoo Bar [ REVIEW ]

One of my *unofficial* goals for 2015 is to relax more. As the great Leonardo da Vinci once said, ‘Every now and then go away and have a little relaxation. To remain constantly at work will diminish your judgement.” What is more relaxing close to home than a luxurious bath?  This year I will review products from my fav shop that makes fresh and handmade beauty goods, Lush! So draw up a bath, get a good book and a glass of wine, and let’s relax!

When the Lush Shampoo Bars first came out a few months ago I thought I would try one out. Lush’s Brazilliant shampoo bar was recommended to me by the salesgirl because my hair is naturally curly and has a tendency to be dry. This bar is meant to create shine and condition your hair too. It also smells gorgeous- of Ylang ylang and sweet orange oil, creating an awakening citrus scent.

I used it fairly consistently for about a month in duo with my regular conditioner. Eventually I gave up because while it made my hair even softer to the touch than normal it was also flatter than normal. I found myself having WAY more pony tail days than usual. Overall it is a great idea- just not for me for everyday use. This would be a good item to pack in your travel bag, especially if you’re going camping. Also, everyone’s hair is different- give it – or any other of the bars a try! In fact, I plan on trying another bar myself. 🙂

*Tip: If you purchase the shampoo bar tin to keep the bar in make sure you take the bar out BEFORE you start your shower. Those little buggers are slippery and nearly impossible to open when wet!
