Welcome to Motivational Monday! A safe space to lay it all out on the table- no one is perfect, and every one needs a boost now and again. What time is better than on Monday, that sunny little bright spot of the week? Pull up a chair, keep an open mind, and let’s start this week right!

Recently the question of ‘Death with Dignity’ has been in the news, and while I’m not here to take one side or the other it has got me thinking. What if you knew how many days you had left to live? Most people will have decades, but unfortunately that is not the case for everyone, and no one but God knows how much time each person has in this world.

So what if you knew you had a hundred years? Fifty? Twenty? Five? One? One month? One hour? You would probably have a different answer for each of those periods of time. But maybe we should treat every moment like it could be our last. Why live in a situation thinking it will ‘get better?’ Make it better. Take charge of your life and what you want to happen in it. Planning for the future is necessary- but make sure you work on those goals and making yourself a little bit better every day.

In the blink of an eye and slowly over time everything can and will change. So forgive often, and love with all your heart. Make every day, every hour, every moment count. Don’t waste your time with thoughts of bitterness, anger or revenge. Treat others the way you want to be treated, and go the extra mile. That way, in the end- whenever that may be- you can say you tried your hardest and did your best. Go out there and be in the moment. Happy Monday!
