Pacific Northwest Trip: Day 4- Cannon Beach, OR/Seaside, OR

Day 4 of our Epic ‘chummy’ trip to the Pacific Northwest was a day of relaxing in our new home base for the rest of the trip- Cannon Beach, OR. We explored the town, got used to the nearly constant rain, and adjusted to the chillier weather.

Unfortunately we woke up to bad news back in the Midwest- our neighboring state of Oklahoma had a massive tornado in Moore, Ok. Sending lots of love and prayers to those who are still effected by that terrible day.

Cannon Beach is a lovely town, with the friendliest people and the cutest shops. We could spend all day wandering around.

Just north of our little town is Seaside, OR- a more touristy town with a main thoroughfare of shops, a unique aquarium and their claimed end to the Lewis and Clark trail. It was still chilly and wet, so we didn’t stay long- but what time we had was spent near the beach! 🙂

After a little more rainy exploration back in Cannon Beach,  we went to see Cannon Beach’s Haystack Rock up close and personal. It’s awesome. Then the rain came back in. This was a recurring problem.

Take a look back at days 1 -3:

Day 1: Kansas City, MO – Denver, CO – Portland, OR – Crescent City, CA

Day 2: Crescent City, CA + Redwood Forest

Day 3: Crescent City, CA – Cannon Beach, OR

The rest of our trip is coming soon!
