September Photo shoot: Famous Painting Recreations

For My monthly photo shoot, I will come up with a theme and document it to the best of my ability and talent- and will complete a goal on my 2013 Manifesto. Come along on the ride with me- oh, and strike a pose.

My theme for the month of September is recreating a famous painting- whether they are ‘true’ to the original or take their own path, I had a ton of fun setting the shoots up this month. (However I do apparently have an issue telling my right from my left- which you’ll see below, oops!) Click on any of the pictures below to view them larger:

‘Ohhh…Alright…’ – Roy Lichtenstein, 1964:

‘The Starry Night’ -Vincent van Gogh, 1889

‘Girl with a Pearl Earring’ – Johannes Vermeer, circa 1665

‘Christina’s World’ – Andrew Wyeth, 1948

‘Composition II in Red, Blue, and Yellow’ – Piet Mondrian, 1930

‘Mona Lisa’ – Leonardo da Vinci, 1503-1505/1507

‘Spaniard with a Red Scarf’ – Alexej von Jawlensky, circa 1912

‘The Scream’ – Edvard Munch, 1895
